How to Check the Status of Your Claim in the Chariot Portal

Your claim status lives in your Chariot portal and takes about a minute to find. Here is how to get there and what each status on your dashboard actually means.

How-To’s

Mass arbitration claims take time. Usually, 6 to 18 months from submission to payout, most of that work happens quietly while attorneys prepare filings and negotiate on your behalf. If you have read our breakdown of how mass arbitration works, you know the waiting is part of the process. It is still completely normal to wonder where things stand.

The good news is that you don't need to wait for an email to find out. Every claim you file with Chariot has a home in your online portal, where you can see its current status and the date you submitted it whenever you like. Once you know where to look, checking takes about a minute.

Signing In to Your Account

Start by heading to app.chariotclaims.com on your phone or computer. The first screen asks for your email address, so enter the one you used when you filed your claim and tap Continue. From there, just follow the prompts to finish signing in.

Finding the My Claims Page

After you sign in, you will land on the Check if You Qualify page, which lists our current open cases. From there, look to the upper right corner of your screen for a small circle with your initials. Tapping it opens your account menu, and My Claims is the second option down. Click there to see your cases.

Reading Your Claim Card

Each claim you have filed shows up as its own card on the My Claims page. The name of the case sits at the top, with the Estimated Payout Amount just below it. On the right side of the card, a colored badge shows where the claim currently stands.

Further down, you will find your submission date and a View Details button, which opens the full record for that claim. Keep in mind that the payout figure is an estimate. It reflects what claimants in that case could potentially receive, and the final amount depends on how the case resolves. Tap the small question mark icon beside the amount if you want a bit more context.

Filtering by Status

If you have filed more than one claim, the All Statuses dropdown at the top of the page makes it easy to sort through them. Tap it and choose a status to see only the claims that match.

Here is a general guide to what you might see.

  • Pending means your claim has been received and is waiting on review or on the next step in the case. Plenty of claims spend a good while here, especially early on while we are still collecting claimants.

  • In Progress shows up as a badge on active claims your attorneys are working on.

  • Approved means your claim has cleared review and is moving forward with the case.

  • Incomplete usually points to a missing piece, such as a signature or missing piece of information, and the claim can't advance until it is added.

  • Needs Attention means our team needs something from you before your claim can keep moving.

  • Ineligible means your answers to the eligibility screening show you don't qualify for that particular case, for example, when a purchase date falls outside the window the case covers.

  • Rejected means the claim was turned down later in the process, either by the company on the other side of the case or through the claims process itself.

When a Claim Needs Something From You

Incomplete and Needs Attention are the two statuses worth acting on quickly. Tap View Details on the claim to see what is outstanding, and you will often find the fix is small. It might be uploading a screenshot of a receipt or signing your engagement paperwork.

If you are unsure whether a document will work, our guide on what may count as evidence is a helpful place to start. For anything involving signatures, our walkthrough of legal engagement paperwork explains what those forms do and why your attorneys need them.

Why Your Status May Stay the Same for a While

A status that hasn't changed in a few weeks rarely means anything is wrong. Arbitration moves in stages, and long stretches can pass between milestones as filings are processed and negotiations play out. Our article on what happens after you file explains each stage in more detail.

When something meaningful does happen, like a settlement offer coming in, we reach out to you directly via email so you can decide what comes next.

Still Have Questions

If something in your portal looks off, or the View Details page doesn't answer what you need, email our team at support@chariotclaims.com or reach us by call or text at (718) 750-1375. Including the name of the case in your message helps us pull up your claim faster.

And while you are signed in, take a minute to scroll the Check if You Qualify page. The list changes as new cases open every week.
